It was part of the Cape Cod neighborhood where our family spent childhood summers and returned for holidays, celebrations and weekends with cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eYears outdoors beside Oyster River gradually faded its yellow and turquoise lettering and exposed the wood beneath. Sun, snow, rain and salty air left each side with a different surface, one still clearly readable and the other much more worn.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIt now hangs in our home, a familiar reminder of the place and people we grew up with.
