Ivan Lendl was an athlete I admired growing up. Maybe because he was an amazing tennis player. Maybe because my older sister had a crush on him. The argyle on this Adidas tee reminds me of his on-court style and that 1984 French Open comeback against John McEnroe. This one is staying in the private collection. And if anyone happens to know Ivan, I have this shirt I’d love to get signed :-)

STORY
An American-made vintage Adidas V-neck tee with a red and grey argyle graphic across the chest and a red Trefoil above it. Off-white with a faded print and the original blue-and-white Adidas label. Believed to date from the 1980s.
The diamond pattern recalls the Adidas tennis clothing worn by Ivan Lendl during that era, though this particular V-neck has not been identified as a model he wore. Part of our private collection.
CONDITION
Worn vintage condition.
Fading and wear to the printed graphic. A cluster of holes with frayed edges is visible on the lower front, with a small dark mark near the shoulder and scattered light marks on the fabric. The original label remains attached. Please review the detailed photographs for condition.
