Before Air Jordans, there were Dr. J’s. Introduced in 1976, Converse’s Pro Leather became closely associated with Julius Erving. Its Star Chevron became part of basketball history, the same emblem carried on this tee.

STORY
A vintage Converse tee, believed to date from the late 1970s or 1980s. Faded blue-purple with a white Star Chevron graphic worked into two long vertical stripes. The color is what drew us to this one: that washed-out, saltwater look, with a cracked print and plenty of visible wear. A piece we appreciate as it is, holes and all.
CONDITION
Heavily worn vintage condition.
Pronounced fading, scattered pale marks and cracking to the printed graphic. Several holes and tears are visible, including two larger openings on the lower front, smaller holes through the body and sleeve, and wear through the neckline. Fraying and separation are visible along the lower hem. The original label is missing apart from a small remnant. Please review the detailed photographs closely.
