STORY

John Austin’s view of a waterfront house on Hulbert Avenue in Nantucket’s Brant Point neighborhood. White porch railings and a rooftop widow’s walk contrast with the dark facade, above golden grass and a stone seawall. Muted color and careful architectural detail give the painting its quiet coastal character.
