STORY

The Kennedys: Portrait of a Family brings together Richard Avedon’s photographs of John F. Kennedy, Jacqueline Kennedy and their children, taken at the family’s Palm Beach home on January 3, 1961.

With text by Smithsonian curator Shannon Thomas Perich and a foreword by historian Robert Dallek, the book places the photographs within the history of the family and the moment before Kennedy entered the White House.

Published by Collins Design in 2007, this copy is a stated first edition, first printing. The hardcover retains its illustrated dust jacket.
