STORY

Dating to circa 1969, this Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date 1500 brings together simple baton markers, a smooth bezel and the classic Oyster case. Its automatic movement and date display make it a watch to be used and worn. More than five decades on, its proportions still feel beautifully classic and quietly modern. At 34 mm, it’s a classic unisex size, but we think it would look especially beautiful on a woman’s wrist.

To accompany it, we separately sourced a period-correct authentic Rolex box, an authentic Rolex document holder and an authentic 1969/70 Rolex calendar card. Together, they offer a little more than the watch itself. A small glimpse into the world of Rolex when this piece was new.
